What a weight off my shoulders!

I haven’t posted in a long time. I’ve been busy with the final part of my Open University studies – TM470 (The Computing and IT Project). But I submitted it in the early hours of this morning!

My project was an Android application, the development of which I have enjoyed. Over the next few months I intend to develop another application and post here on the process.

    Congrats!
Sorry to invade your space with questions, but I’m about to enroll for this year’s courses and I’m torn between T353 and a completely different module on design.
I’m absurdly busy with work and other studies (namely, certifications and general documentation), so i really have no time to deal with the usual OU assignment overload on level 3. How was the workload on that module? what was it about ? Descriptions are quite terse. Also, random thought, since you seem to had completed your project…do you know if the IT project is a requisite for a Hons degree? (my main aim was to ignore it completely to be honest, as it seems quite a lot of work in vain and there are plenty other modules more interesting to take). Thanks ! (and congratulations and sorry again 🙂 )

      Thanks!

The workload is significant, depending on your circumstances. I did it on its own and found it time consuming.

It involves a lot of research, planning and introspection rather than solely technical skills. There is also virtually no guidance provided and I found that feedback was sparse and not particularly timely.

For some courses it is a prerequisite but not all. If you speak to student support they’ll give you the best advice!
