Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the kitchen, Meniere’s disease rears its ugly head again.
So it’s back into hospital for another three treatments.

Well it’s now been nearly two months since having Intratympanic Gentamicin Therapy.
So far I’m glad to say it appears to have worked as I have not taken an attack in this time. Although my hearing is still poor and the tinnitus is still present, I’m coping well with it and am now back at work [...]

It appears that my bad experiences earlier were a one off. Today’s treatment was completely pain free and I feel quite good.
So how is it going? Well:
Tinnitus – now just one constant high frequency, low pitch noise which is much easier to live with.

Well today was an experience.
Peterborough managed to get their act together and I was in and out in two hours. Hearing test, drug administered then the half hour rest and out.

Gentamicin – Part 1
Well, my first experience was not pleasant. It hurt like hell. I was mucked about something chronic. In fact I put in an official complaint.
I hope this isn’t a sign of things to come.
